What are our strongest magnets

Ever wondered what our strongest magnets are? A magnets strength is an important factor to consider when browsing for the perfect magnet.

So, we have decided to list together the strongest of all of our magnets but if you want to shop the entire range of our strongest magnets all in one place, then follow the link below.

Lifting Magnets

Our range includes hand controlled and switchable lifting magnets in a variety of strengths ranging from 125kg to 2000kg safe working loads.

The range of magnets are all designed to lift more for their size and feature a shallow ‘V’ groove on the magnetic base for a secure grip on flat, square, and round surfaces.

Each magnet is individually tested to ensure a reliable solution for moving ferrous loads. The rotating hook feature allows for easy handling and positioning of the magnets.

These magnets can significantly improve lift-per-hour with zero operating cost making them a more efficient solution compared to slings, chains or hooks and hand controlled lifting magnets give users greater control, reducing load damage.

To learn more about our range of lifting magnets be sure to take a look at our Lifting Magnets Brochure.

Magnet Fishing

Magnet Fishing is an extremely popular hobby which is continuing to grow every day in popularity, and we stock a large range of magnet fishing kits ranging in strength from 130kg to 400kg pull.

The range of neodymium pot magnets are all incredibly strong for their size and that’s due to their NdFeB properties, each magnet’s maximum pull performance can be achieved when the magnets are applied in a vertical position against a mild steel surface of equal thickness.

We also stock a small range of ferrite fishing magnets including a 60kg and a 130kg pull magnet. These magnets with their smaller pull, compared to some of our neodymium range, may be better suited for magnet fishing beginners.

The pot magnets have the added advantage which reduces potential impacts and therefore any chipping.

For versatility, all our magnets come with either one or two eyebolts allowing ropes and cables to be attached to the magnet with ease, making them strong and efficient when it comes to lifting, holding and retrieval.

The magnets have the option to be accompanied by a 10-meter-long polyester rope which can hold a weight of 420kg, and we recommend using a tautline hitch know when tying the rope to your magnet.

Electromagnets

We have a range of super strong electromagnets designed for lifting and holding applications available in a variety of shapes, sizes and strengths ranging from 100kg to 907kg pull.

These magnets require a power source, as when electricity is passed through them, they produce a strong magnetic field and when the power is removed the magnetic field disappears instantly.

Electromagnets are commonly used in door and hatch mechanisms on machinery, in automated assembly lines, robotics and the lifting and handling of ferrous materials.

Each magnet is supplied with approximately 600mm of wire for connecting to a direct (DC) power source.

Clamping Magnets

We have two large clamping magnets available with 139kg pull strength, one with an M8 hook and the other with M8 eyebolt. Both these magnets are incredibly strong and due to their different attachments can be used in different ways.

Firstly, our 60mm diameter N42 Neodymium Clamping Magnet with M8 Eyebolt is ideal for divers and secondly our 60mm diameter Neodymium Clamping Magnet with M8 Hook provides incredible clamping force for its size.

Both magnets have the neodymium magnets sunken into a steel shell meaning the north pole is on the centre of the magnet and the south pole is on the outer edge. The steel pot increases the adhesive force of the magnet giving them astonishing hold for their size.

An added advantage of these magnets is that they are resistant to chipping or cracking following constant impact with a steel surface.

We would like to warn all customers that these magnets all come with safe-handling warning, because they are so powerful they can be dangerous if not handled carefully.
