We recently received an email from one of our customers explaining how they had introduced magnets into a part of their silicon mould production process. Ron from Greater London uses our F307 Magnets in his silicon moulds to ensure that they fit accurately into tight plaster jackets.
Ron explained that a series of physical keys are traditionally used to hold silicon moulds tightly into their plaster jacket. These are usually very difficult to locate and can make removal of the fitted mould from the jacket very difficult. By using small neodymium magnets the silicone skin fits securely in place and is incredibly easy to remove after the mould is filled.
We would like to thank Ron for sharing his magnet application with us and for sending a great photograph of the magnets in use.
