Today, Nathan ‘Mason’ Wallace takes the time to tell us about his magnet of choice. In keeping with tradition, here’s a bit about the man himself.
Nathan, who is often called Mason due to others often mishearing his pronunciation, is the Yorkshire Terrier of the office. By this, we mean he’s small, feisty and has a big voice; he’s not one to mess with. This is evident when he’s defending his beloved Nottingham Forest against rival Derby County fans! With Mason, it’s always story time. He’s a guy who’s been there, done that and got the t-shirt.

So, what is Mason’s favourite magnet? We went to ask him!
“I am a big fan of the 32mm Diameter Rubber Coated Pot Magnets. I’ve used them myself for various applications and keep them in my toolbox just in case! The possibilities are endless.”

Why is it his favourite magnet?
“I like the fact that the rubber coating increases the friction and then you have a stainless steel shell which prevents corrosion. These characteristics are absolutely perfect for applications that require holding weight on a sheer surface. It has so many uses and offers great versatility.”
What applications can the magnet be used for?
“The magnet can be used for almost any outdoor application. The countersunk section of the magnet allows you to screw or bolt it onto a surface leaving the rubber coated magnetic face to attract to a mild steel surface. However, it doesn’t necessarily need to be screwed or bolted into place. Due to it’s steel shell, it is great as a clamping magnet and is ideal for pinning items against a ferrous material.” See here where the magnet could be used to hold the caravan’s cover in place:
So how much does this magnet cost and what variations are available?
“The magnets are sold individually starting at £13.90 plus VAT. We offer packs of 1, 4, 20 and 40 with bulk pricing available. There is one other variation available which comes slightly cheaper, however, it doesn’t have a rubber coating which means it doesn’t have the same resistance to sliding. That is the F4MA32 Pot Magnet.”
