Magnet Expert Raise £222.50 For #Quids4Kids And The Children’s Bereavement Centre!

Friday 12th July marked a day of fundraising as part of Radio Newark and the #Quids4Kids campaign, in which companies across Newark and Nottingham participated with their most creative ideas to raise money for the Children’s Bereavement Centre.

The Children’s Bereavement Centre are a wonderful charity that work tirelessly to support local children and their families affected by death or terminal illness. The charity offer many supportive services which are available to children and young people aged 3-18 and their close family members. You can read more about their services here.

As part of our fundraising efforts, the team took part in a number of fundraising activities throughout the day. These included a dress down day, a cake sale in which our team brought in their homemade cakes, the big day off raffle in which our team could pay for a ticket to win the chance to have a day off work, and finally our guess the baby photo challenge.

The day saw Radio Newark pop by our offices to come and chat with us about our fundraising activities, and more importantly why we were supporting such an amazing charity. Supporting the local community and giving back to local charities and causes such as the Children’s Bereavement Centre has always been a strong focus of the business.

Managing Director, Matthew Ellis-Mather spoke about our fundraising activities: As soon as we had the conversation with Radio Newark about #Quids4Kids, we came together to discuss creative ways to help raise money for the support, workshops and counselling provided by the Children’s Bereavement Centre. We cannot imagine how difficult is to be in the situation these children are in, and we hope the money raised can go a little way to help such an amazing cause.”

Through our teams efforts and activities, we raised £222.50 for the Children’s Bereavement Centre, and the total raised by all companies involved was over £2,500! We would like to thank the team at Radio Newark for allowing us participate in this great day, and we hope the funds raised can go someway towards the vital work that the team at the Children’s Bereavement Centre do.

Corporate Social Responsibility is extremely important to us, and we are always looking for ways in which we can support our amazing local community and charities. September 15th marks the Newark Dragon Boat Race where our team will be rowing against teams from across Nottinghamshire, all to raise money for Beaumond House Community Hospice and the Children’s Bereavement Centre.
