We are delighted to receive the news that we have been nominated for 3 separate awards at this years Newark Business Awards!
Magnet Expert Ltd, the parent company of FIRST4MAGNETS®, has been nominated for Large Business of the Year, Employer of the Year and our Managing Director, Matthew Ellis-Mather has been nominated for Businessperson of the Year! This is some great positive news to come from what has been unprecedented year!
The Newark Business Awards are designed to recognise the achievements of local businesses and allow for the opportunity to showcase their work and celebrate their success.
The Awards
The award for Large Business of the Year looks at those that demonstrate business excellence and leadership, commitment to the local community, and proven success with strategy to pave the way for further business growth.
The Businessperson of the Year award is designed to
recognise individuals that have made outstanding contributions which have
allowed them to stand out from the crowd, paired with entrepreneurial spirit
and the ability to inspire others around them.
The Employer of the year award is for those businesses who demonstrate
their leadership and human resource policies to support their staff on their
development and creating a satisfactory and positive workplace.
Whilst 2020 has been a challenging year so far, our team has all pulled together and carried on providing our customers with the best service possible. Being shortlisted has been greatly received by the team and has given them a real boost and thanks to their hard work this year.
Managing Director Matthew Ellis-Mather spoke of his excitement at the news of the 3 nominations:

Matthew and the team will shortly be interviewed by judges as part of the final stage before the winner is announced at a black-tie gala dinner at the Lady Eastwood Centre at Newark Showground on Thursday 22nd October 2020.
