Aurora Wellbeing is a charity that supports both men and women affected by cancer, offering free beauty and wellbeing treatments. The charity has five centres, all of which are within 40 miles of first4magnets, in Tuxford Nottinghamshire, the most local being the centre based at the Old Library in Worksop.
The characterful home of Aurora Wellbeing is a listed building, which means that permanent fixtures on outside and inside walls are prohibited. Thankfully, the frames of many of the internal and external doors are painted iron, which is what gave Peter from the Aurora fundraising team the idea that they should use magnetic hooks to secure their signage.
After a short trip to see the team at first4mangets, Peter had the ideal solution, he explains: “We dearly love our home in The Old Library building. It is central to the community where our members live but because of its listed status we weren’t able to use banners to promote our events, until now!
“I explained our conundrum to Jonathan, one of the team at first4magnets and he was able to offer an instant solution that would enable us to hang banners without damaging the structure of the building. We are really grateful to first4magnets for donating the hook magnets that will hopefully make our future events even more successful.”
Jonathan, sales manager at first4magnets added: “Aurora Wellbeing is a fantastic charity that supports many local people. Industrial magnets and beauty treatments are not ordinarily things that go hand-in-hand, but nonetheless we are delighted to be able to offer our support. It was great to see the magnets and banners taking pride of place.”
